    01.10.2026: राज्यपाल तथा सार्वजनिक विद्यापीठांचे कुलपती जिष्णु देव वर्मा यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली कुलगुरुंची 'भविष्यवेधी तंत्रज्ञान' गटाची (Futuristic Technology Forum) बैठक आज लोकभवन, मुंबई येथे संपन्न झाली. भविष्यवेधी तंत्रज्ञानाला मानवी चेहरा असावा, तंत्रज्ञानाचा लाभ समाजातील अंतिम व्यक्तीपर्यंत पोहोचावा तसेच विकसित भारताचे स्वप्न साकारण्यासाठी विद्यापीठांमध्ये परस्पर सहकार्य आवश्यक असून, कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता व डेटा सायन्सच्या माध्यमातून शिक्षण, आरोग्य आणि रोजगार अधिक सर्वसमावेशक करण्यावर भर देण्याचे आवाहन यावेळी राज्यपालांनी केले. यावेळी ‘आरोग्य क्षेत्रात एआय’ आणि ‘लॉजिस्टिक्समधील एआय’ या विषयांवर सादरीकरणे झाली. बैठकीला भविष्यवेधी तंत्रज्ञान गटाचे प्रमुख शिवाजी विद्यापीठाचे कुलगुरु डॉ राजनीश कामत, सीओईपी तंत्रज्ञान विद्यापीठाचे कुलगुरु डॉ सुनील भिरूड व डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर तंत्रशास्त्र विद्यापीठाचे प्रा. अरविंद किवळेकर तसेच इतर अध्यापक उपस्थित होते

    01.10.2026: Maharashtra Governor and Chancellor of state universities Jishnu Dev Varma today presided over a meeting of the Vice Chancellors’ Futuristic Technology Forum at Lok Bhavan, Mumbai. Addressing the meeting, the Governor emphasised that futuristic technologies should have a human face and that the benefits of technology must reach the last person in society. He called for greater collaboration among universities to realise the vision of a Viksit Bharat and urged universities to focus on making education, healthcare and employment more inclusive through the effective use of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Presentations were made on “AI in Healthcare” and “AI in Logistics” during the meeting. The meeting was attended by Vice Chancellor of Shivaji University and Head of the Futuristic Technology Forum Dr Rajnish Kamat, Vice Chancellor of COEP Technological University Dr Sunil Bhirud, Prof. Arvind Kivlekar of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University and other faculty members.
