29.09.2026: Governor Jishnu Dev Varma reviews Kolhapur’s development projects

29.09.2026: Governor Jishnu Dev Varma held a meeting with officials of the Kolhapur district administration and chaired a presentation on key development projects in Kolhapur district. The District Collector presented details of major projects including highway development, state level road expansion, airport extension, cultural heritage and pilgrimage site development, the Shri Mahalakshmi Ambabai Development Plan, the Shri Jyotiba Development Plan, initiatives in education, research and administration, medical infrastructure, flood control and pollution mitigation projects, the proposed Kolhapur IT Park, the Pavnar–Patradevi Maharashtra Shaktipeeth Highway, modernization and expansion of the divisional sports complex, the proposed international cricket stadium, the ring road and elevated corridor, and the Vaibhavwadi–Kolhapur railway project. Governor Secretary Dr. Prashant Narnaware, District Collector Dr. Vijay Rathod, Municipal Commissioner Dr. Rajendra Bharud, Shivaji University Vice‑Chancellor Dr. Rajanish Kamat, Zilla Parishad CEO Dr. Jasmin, Ichalkaranji Municipal Commissioner Smt. Pallavi Patil, along with senior officials from various departments were present.
